Albina Cako

Albina is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer experienced in building AI and analytics solutions across multiple industries, including healthcare, financial services, and digital platforms. She specializes in machine learning, GenAI, and developing systems that turn complex data into actionable insights.

Prior to joining Aimpoint Digital, Albina was the Lead Data Scientist at GatherUp, where she led the development of the Review Defense System, a machine learning and statistical framework designed to detect fraudulent and policy-violating reviews. She also designed and implemented GenAI powered solutions, including RAG-based systems that enable users to interact with review data, metrics, and platform insights through natural language.  

Before GatherUp, Albina was the Lead Machine Learning and Data Engineer at Path Digital Advisors LLC, where she led data and machine learning initiatives for over 3 years. She rebuilt the company’s data infrastructure and analytics during Series A, delivering investor-ready insights that were instrumental in securing a $35M fundraise. She also designed machine learning models and data systems to support trading strategies and risk-based customer portfolio offerings in a regulated financial environment, while ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.

Albina holds a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning, as well as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from CCNM. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and playing pickleball.  

Fun fact: Albina can cook Albanian food and makes very tasty “speca te mbushura” (stuffed peppers).
