Camilo Rojas Lopera

Camilo Rojas is a seasoned Data Engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, production-grade data pipelines across cloud environments (AWS, Azure). He specializes in ETL processes, big data frameworks (Spark), containerization (Docker), real-time data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), and data modeling and warehousing (Snowflake). Camilo also brings hands-on expertise in deploying machine learning models using MLflow, SageMaker, and Scikit-learn. He is passionate about building resilient, future-ready data systems that drive advanced analytics and actionable business insights.

Before joining Aimpoint Digital, Camilo worked as a Data Engineer at Jikkosoft, where he led a tax information migration project involving multiple Colombian government entities. His contributions to data architecture and quality reduced migration time by 30% and minimized manual intervention. Previously, as a Data Scientist at Inchcape Digital Delivery Center, Camilo developed machine learning models to predict used car prices and contributed to building a data warehouse for automotive data using Databricks.

Camilo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad EAFIT, in Medellín, Colombia. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music (guitar, piano, and vocals), reading, gaming, and exploring his passion for coffee and artisanal beers.
