Finn Tan

Finn is a Databricks Solutions Architect, specialising in data and platform engineering, architecture and delivery.

Prior to joining Aimpoint, Finn held data engineering leadership roles, leading teams and workstreams across the architecture, design and delivery of end-to-end data platform solutions for public sector bodies and FTSE 100 organisations at various consultancies including UBDS, Redkite (part of Accenture) and 6point6 (part of Accenture). His experience spans the full platform lifecycle, from shaping technical architecture and designing scalable data solutions to hands-on engineering, implementation and delivery, alongside managing teams and driving technical execution.

Finn also brings a distinctive combination of technical leadership and financial services experience, having started his career in corporate and investment banking at Barclays, working across client coverage, credit risk and portfolio management.

Finn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick and has passed all three levels of the CFA Program. These days, however, he spends more time exploring data and AI projects than building financial models.

Outside work, Finn enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, going to the gym, running outdoors and, when time permits, engaging in some competitive online gaming.
