Gabriela Navas

Gabriela brings a strong foundation in applied mathematics with expertise in modeling and simulating complex adaptive systems.  

Prior to joining Aimpoint Digital, Gabriela was a Schmidt AI in Science Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. Her work included training recurrent neural networks on empirical neural recordings to infer the synaptic changes that support learning in the brain.  

Gabriela holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics for the Life and Social Sciences and a Certificate in Complex Adaptive Systems Science from Arizona State University. Her doctoral research focused on mathematically modeling collective information processing in biological systems.  

Outside of work, Gabriela enjoys playing boardgames, dancing salsa, and taking walks.
