Kyle MacGregor

Kyle is a data engineer who specializes in building fast, reliable, and cost-efficient data pipelines on Databricks, along with the deployment and orchestration tooling that supports them. He has hands-on experience in Spark performance tuning, pipeline orchestration, and CI/CD for data engineering and data science code, and enjoys digging into complex systems to find the root cause of stubborn problems.

Before joining  Aimpoint Digital, Kyle spent three and a half years at 84.51° where he helped build and scale an enterprise-wide data and ML pipeline supporting store ordering across thousands of stores nationwide. His work there included the deployment tooling his team relied on to ship pipelines and models, and optimizations that cut job costs by more than 80%. Earlier, as a teaching assistant at Catalyte, he mentored teams of trainees building full-stack web applications. Kyle is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Western Governors University.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys sketching, camping, and bicycling.
