Marcel Kore

Marcel is a Principal Data Engineer based in Cary, North Carolina, with more than a decade of experience across healthcare, clinical trials, insurance, and consulting. He specializes in Snowflake data engineering, architecture, and optimization, with deep expertise spanning warehouse design, performance tuning, and cost governance. Most recently, Marcel led a Snowflake cost optimization engagement for a client whose credit spend had quietly ballooned across multiple business units. His team pulled apart the full chain of warehouse usage, user behavior, and query patterns, and conducted interviews with every team that touched the platform. The work surfaced both obvious inefficiencies and subtler bottlenecks driving up consumption, giving the client clear levers to cut spend without hurting performance.

Before returning to Aimpoint Digital, Marcel was a Senior Data Engineer at Clinical Ink and a Principal Data Analyst at Bioclinica, where he built cloud data warehouses on Snowflake using dbt and Data Vault 2.0, and led data architecture for clinical trial platforms. He holds a Master's in Big Data and Analytics from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor's in Information Systems from CUNY, and is currently pursuing an MBA at Boston University's Questrom School of Business.

Outside of work, Marcel plays field hockey and coaches his kids' youth soccer team.
