Oscar Giles

Oscar is a versatile data engineer with a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for building data-driven applications. A polyglot engineer, he works across the stack—from cloud infrastructure and data pipelines to distributed systems and web applications—helping teams solve complex operational challenges through innovative software solutions.

Before joining Aimpoint Digital, Oscar was a software engineer at an early-stage startup, where he helped develop a cloud simulation platform used across the pharmaceutical, FMCG, and defense industries. He also led software projects at the Alan Turing Institute, including the development of an air pollution forecasting system for the London Mayor’s Office.

Oscar holds a PhD in Sensorimotor Control and has published over 40 scientific articles across the fields of Psychology, Medicine, and Machine Learning. His academic and technical background enables him to bridge research and real-world applications with ease.

Outside of work, Oscar enjoys climbing, music, spending time with his family, and learning new skills.
