The countdown to Snowflake Data Cloud Summit 2024 has officially begun. As always, it promises to be an incredible gathering of industry leaders, data professionals, and technology innovators. Set to take place in San Francisco from June 3 through June 6, 2024, this year’s Summit offers a wealth of opportunities for attendees to network, learn, and explore the latest trends shaping the future of data analytics.

At Aimpoint Digital, we are honored to be part of the event. We enlisted the help of Christopher Marland, Snowflake Data Superhero and Snowflake Solutions Architect, and Brian Scally, Lead Data Engineer, to curate a list of our top 10 session picks to help you make the most of your Snowflake Summit experience.

The Top 10 Sessions to Attend at Snowflake Data Cloud Summit 2024

1. Aimpoint Digital’s Anxiety-Free Guide to Native App Deployment

Why we picked it: Deploying an application can be an anxiety-ridden experience, but the Aimpoint Digital team is here to help. Our very own Christopher Marland and Brian Scally will show you how to integrate CI/CD into your native app deployments to ensure robust delivery of your apps to the Snowflake Marketplace.

2. Snowflake at API Speed: ETL Without the L, DE305

Why we picked it: Transformed data in “real-time” is a common ask from our clients, which can be costly and difficult to manage. We are always on the lookout for new solutions and to stay informed about novel ways of streaming data to the end user interfaces. Sailpoint proposes an interesting solution here that we are excited to learn more about.

Date & time: Monday, Jun 3 2:30 PM – 3:15 PM PDT (10:30 PM – 11:15 PM BST)

3. Build, Deliver and Govern Data Products at Scale Using Data Mesh Principles, MD235

Why we picked it: dbt is one of our favorite transformation solutions here at Aimpoint Digital. Last year dbt Labs released “dbt mesh” – an implementation of data mesh principles in their dbt Cloud platform. The principles of data mesh extend further than just the transformation layer, though, so we are interested to hear about the Snowflake features, guidelines and best practices that power dbt and data mesh in this talk.

Date & time: Monday, Jun 3 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM PDT (Tuesday, Jun 4 2:30 AM – 4:00 AM BST) Wednesday, Jun 5 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM PDT (10:00 PM – 11:30 PM BST)

4. Snowflake on Snowflake: Using AI/ML for Lead Scoring for Marketing and Sales, MA219

Why we picked it: Machine learning is cool again, and we all want to know how it works in Snowflake, and we want to hear about it from the horse’s mouth. This talk looks like it will address the ML workflow in Snowflake from the perspective of new features like Snowpark, Cortex, and the Snowpark Model Registry.

Date & time: Monday, Jun 3 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM PDT (10:00 PM – 10:45 PM BST)

5. Builders Keynote, K3

Why we picked it: Keynotes can often be hit or miss, but the Builders Keynote is sure to inform you about what new features are coming out on Snowflake and promises to get you amped up for the rest of the conference.

Date & time: Wednesday, Jun 5 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM PDT (5:00 PM – 6:30 PM BST)

6. Building Secure, Event-Driven Data Pipelines With Snowpark Container Services, DE207

Why we picked it: Snowflake container services are here – run your ingestion in them, run your Rust jobs in them, and you can even run Doom 2: Hell On Earth in them. We’re excited about container services and want to hear from Snowflake about how they can augment our data pipelines and other workloads.

Date & time: Tuesday, Jun 4 11:30 AM – 11:50 AM PDT (7:30 PM – 7:50 PM BST)

8. Simplified Data Pipeline Construction With Snowpipe Streaming and Dynamic Tables, DE209

Why we picked it: Dynamic Tables are a tool everyone’s interested in, but not many people feel they’ve graspedh them well enough to use them effectively. This session should really help folks get started as they work to master this important tool.

Date & time: Monday, Jun 3, 3:30 PM – 4:15 PM PDT (11:30 PM – 12:15 AM BST)

9. Pricing and Billing Demystified: SPCS, Hybrid Tables and Cortex Functions, OO222

Why we picked it: With all these new features, the billing process is becoming increasingly complicated. If budgets are top of mind or a source of stress for you, this is the perfect session to understand how it works.
