Toyya applies causal inference and machine learning to solve complex problems where the cost of failure is high. She is particularly passionate about identifying effective incentives (i.e., nudges) to influence human and customer behavior. When working with clients, Toyya’s goal is to provide high-quality decision-making tools while effectively communicating results with actionable insights.
Prior to joining Aimpoint, Toyya worked at RAND Corporation, a top research consultancy, where she helped design and measure policy outcomes using simulation and advanced analytics. She has worked on projects across various topics including healthcare, defense, workforce, customer service, and criminal justice. While at the Department of Defense, she developed sophisticated cost models that quantified risks with implications for system acquisition costs, resulting in effective financial planning and cost savings. Toyya holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Industrial Engineering with a focus in Statistics.
Outside of work, Toyya enjoys nature walks, playing volleyball, and is currently learning to sing. She lives with her husband and dog in the DC metro area.
